THE BACKSTORY: Oliver Wendell is the basset hound of my heart. He is in love with Maggie – a gorgeous dachsund who lives at Daisy Cottage. In Florida, where Maggie lives, lizards are abundant. As a canine Guinivere, she told him to catch the little dragons (lizards) for her....and then she might consider his proposal. The following ensued as he attempted to woo her...
Fairest Lady Maggie:
Chivalry has not perished: while on a dragon hunt – seeking to slay the lizard of your request – so as to impress your regal heart, I have made the ultimate sacrifice! The sly beast took half my tail! As legend goes...once the fair maiden's heart has been pledged, the knight's tail shall return… So, my lady, you see the predicament! Your heart for my tail! Please, visit The Katillac Shack and bring your Daisy Cottage court of friends, too (as their words are imperative to the release of the lizard's curse) and to help in my salvation: to create the spell that will return my manhood and ease my ever-consuming passion for just a glimpse of your exquisite profile!

Oh poor Oliver! I have to admit that I shed a tear for this brave knight as I read his tale (tail?) of heroism. Miss Sophie says we have to make a scarf to help Oliver get his tail back. She also says she hopes that Maggie is duly impressed by his sacrifice.

Oh Goodness Wendell,
Bentley will make a scarf to help you get your tail back. He is a friend of Maggie and will do anything to help out a special blog friend find her true love.
P.S. We have had lots of experience with lizzards in California and had one living upstairs with "no tail", however Bentley still has his tail to wag for you and Maggie.
Blessings,
Erin and Bentley

Many lizards have lost their tails due to my darling Nugget, but thankfully he still has HIS tail! He's wagging it for Oliver right now! Nugget is not one to be overcome with jealousy or bereft by the loss of his love to another. He will go out gladly and hunt another day.
